This domain is in the midst of some controversy. Amazon.com is claiming that it’s not able to be held by anyone but them, but they forget that the Amazon Jungle as well as the term Amazon existed long before them. So the value is high based on the controversy as well as the bids currently received on this.
Just a head’s up, when this domain is sold, Amazon will come after the buyer to tell them that they’d informed me of some violations. However, they’ve contested its existence with ICANN and I still own it so that means even ICANN is skeptical of their total claim of ownership.
Amazon has also been offered to purchase this outright and has declined.
